IPVanish's November message to partners is less about a new price than about timing. The Black Friday Early Access rates that started on October 15 are holding for the month: $2.19 a month for Essential, $2.79 for Complete and $3.29 for Advanced on 2-year plans. Around them IPVanish has lined up the events it expects people to buy a VPN for: the NFL's Thanksgiving slate, the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the start of the holiday streaming season and the busiest travel week of the year. Some of those are good reasons to have a VPN in November. Some are not. Here is which is which.

The prices, briefly

Essential Complete Advanced
2-year plan, per month $2.19 (85% off) $2.79 (83% off) $3.29 (82% off)
Billed up front for 24 months $52.56 $66.96 $78.96
Includes VPN, unlimited devices, Threat Protection, 3 GB eSIM Essential + antivirus (Windows, macOS) Complete + 1 TB cloud storage, 5 GB eSIM, Secure Browser
Renews at $99.99/year $109.99/year $129.99/year
Refund 30 days 30 days 30 days

Nothing has changed since October 15, so we will not repeat the tier analysis. The short version from our coverage of the cut: Essential for a household of phones and TVs, Complete only if you would otherwise pay for an antivirus on a Windows or Mac machine, and set a reminder before month 24 because the renewal is nearly four times the introductory rate. IPVanish's percentages have shifted by a point in the November mailing (Complete 83%, Advanced 82% rather than 82% and 81%); the dollar prices are identical.

IPVanish is also leaning on its new identity. The company now calls itself an all-in-one security suite under the tagline "Control your digital world", with the Complete tier's antivirus as the centrepiece. We looked at what that antivirus does and how its VIPRE engine tested when the tier launched. The claim that matters for November is unchanged: the antivirus is Windows and macOS only, and the VIPRE engine scored 99.91% protection with AV-Comparatives' Advanced+ rating.

What is on in November

IPVanish's partner guide lists the month's events as reasons to subscribe. Here they are with the broadcasters, and with a frank note on where a VPN does and does not help.

NFL: five games over Thanksgiving week

Date Game Time (ET) Where
Wed, Nov 25 Packers at Rams 8:00 pm Netflix
Thu, Nov 26 Bears at Lions 1:00 pm CBS
Thu, Nov 26 Eagles at Cowboys 4:30 pm Fox
Thu, Nov 26 Chiefs at Bills 8:20 pm NBC, Peacock
Fri, Nov 27 Broncos at Steelers 3:00 pm Prime Video

This is the first year the NFL has played a standalone game on Thanksgiving Eve, and it is on Netflix. The Thursday triple-header stays on the US networks and Peacock; the Black Friday game is on Prime Video.

Where a VPN fits: if you are a US subscriber travelling abroad for the holiday, CBS, Fox, NBC and Peacock all geo-restrict their streams to the US, and connecting to a US server is the standard way people keep watching. Netflix and Prime Video are different. Both show the games to subscribers in many countries without any VPN; what varies is which country's catalogue you see. Check your home app before assuming you need a tunnel.

Formula 1: three races, one of them at night in Las Vegas

Race Weekend
São Paulo Grand Prix Nov 6–8
Las Vegas Grand Prix Nov 19–21, race on Saturday night local time
Qatar Grand Prix Nov 27–29

Las Vegas is the one IPVanish is pointing at, and it is the awkward one for viewers outside the Americas: a Saturday-night race in Nevada is a Sunday-morning race in Europe. As we noted in our October sport guide, F1 coverage runs free-to-air on Belgium's RTBF, which geo-restricts to Belgium. A VPN with a Belgian server is how people outside Belgium reach it; whether that is permitted depends on the broadcaster's terms, and it is not something the VPN company can grant you.

Football and the rest

The Premier League, Champions League, Bundesliga, NBA and NHL regular seasons all run through November without a break. Nothing new to say here beyond what we covered last month: free highlights on the BBC, the Bundesliga on Sat.1 and RTL in Germany, and paywalled packages everywhere else.

Holiday streaming

Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Max roll out their holiday films and winter series premieres from mid-November. This is where the VPN pitch is weakest. The services are available in nearly every country; a VPN at most swaps one catalogue for another, and all four prohibit that in their terms. If a specific title is missing from your region, a VPN might surface it. It is not a reason to buy one.

The travel week

Thanksgiving week is the busiest travel period of the US year, and this is the part of IPVanish's list we agree with entirely. Airport, hotel and relatives' Wi-Fi is exactly where a VPN earns its keep: it stops the network operator and anyone on it from seeing what you do. Our guide to using a VPN safely on public Wi-Fi covers the setup; the short version is turn on the kill switch and auto-connect on untrusted networks before you leave.

IPVanish's unlimited simultaneous connections matter here more than anywhere else. One subscription covers every phone, tablet and laptop a family takes on the road, with no counting.

Shopping

Singles' Day on November 11 and the Black Friday to Cyber Monday run at the end of the month are the peak of online shopping. A VPN on a shared network protects the session; it does not make a sketchy shop legitimate, and it does not reliably unlock lower prices in other countries. Buy from retailers you trust, on your own connection or a VPN, and ignore the "VPN price arbitrage" stories.

IPVanish's November, in one paragraph

The price is its 2026 floor and has been since mid-October, so there is no urgency about any particular date before Cyber Monday. The reasons to buy that hold up are the travel week and the US-only sports streams for Americans abroad. The reasons that do not hold up are holiday films and shopping discounts. If you want IPVanish, Essential at $52.56 for two years of unlimited devices is the plan, and the renewal reminder is the first thing to set after you pay.

FAQ

Did IPVanish change its Black Friday price in November?

No. The 2-year plans are $2.19, $2.79 and $3.29 a month, the same as on October 15, 2026.

When is the NFL on over Thanksgiving 2026?

Packers at Rams on Wednesday, November 25 (Netflix); Bears at Lions, Eagles at Cowboys and Chiefs at Bills on Thursday, November 26 (CBS, Fox, NBC/Peacock); Broncos at Steelers on Friday, November 27 (Prime Video).

When is the Las Vegas Grand Prix?

The weekend of November 19–21, 2026, with the race on Saturday night local time.

Does a VPN help with holiday streaming?

Rarely. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Max operate in most countries; a VPN only changes which catalogue you see, and their terms prohibit it.

Why use a VPN when travelling for Thanksgiving?

Public and hotel Wi-Fi exposes your traffic to the network operator. A VPN encrypts it. Enable the kill switch and auto-connect before you travel.
