IPVanish Black Friday Early Access: 2-Year Plans From $2.19, Its Lowest Price of 2026
IPVanish cut all three 2-year plans on October 15: Essential $2.19/mo (85% off, $52.56 up front), Complete $2.79 and Advanced $3.29. That is 20–30 cents below last week's prices and the lowest of the year — what you pay, how the tier gaps changed, the renewal rate to watch, and how it compares to Surfshark, Proton and the Kape Halloween deals.

Table of contents
IPVanish has opened Black Friday six weeks early. From Thursday, October 15, 2026, all three of its 2-year plans drop to what the company calls its lowest rates of the year: Essential at $2.19 a month (85% off), Complete at $2.79 (82% off) and Advanced at $3.29 (81% off). Unlike the ten-cent repricing we covered in September, this one is a real cut across the whole lineup, and for the first time the two upper tiers are discounted as much as the entry plan.
The Black Friday Early Access prices
| Essential | Complete | Advanced | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-year plan, per month | $2.19 (85% off) | $2.79 (82% off) | $3.29 (81% off) |
| Billed up front for 24 months | $52.56 | $66.96 | $78.96 |
| Monthly list price | $14.99 | $15.99 | $17.99 |
| Renews at | $99.99/year | $109.99/year | $129.99/year |
| Money-back guarantee | 30 days | 30 days | 30 days |
The percentages check out against IPVanish's own monthly prices: $2.19 is 14.6% of $14.99, so the saving is 85.4%; Complete and Advanced work out to 82.6% and 81.7%. As always, those figures compare the 2-year rate with a month-to-month tier almost nobody buys. The number that matters is the up-front payment, and the one after that is the renewal.
IPVanish has not announced an end date. The campaign is labelled Black Friday Early Access, so expect it to run into the holiday period, but treat the price as current rather than guaranteed.
How much cheaper than last week
The useful comparison is against the prices IPVanish set when it launched the Complete tier on October 7:
| Before (Oct 7) | Now (Oct 15) | Per month | Over 24 months | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $2.39 | $2.19 | −$0.20 | −$4.80 |
| Complete | $3.09 | $2.79 | −$0.30 | −$7.20 |
| Advanced | $3.59 | $3.29 | −$0.30 | −$7.20 |
Essential has now fallen twice in a month, from $2.49 in early September to $2.39 on September 23 and $2.19 today. The September move was worth $2.40 across the term and we said so; this one is twice the size and reaches the plans that were left out last time. It is still not a transformative sum of money. What it changes is the arithmetic between the tiers.
The tier question got more interesting
At the October 7 prices, Complete cost $0.70 a month more than Essential. Now it is $0.60 more, and Advanced is $0.50 above Complete. Over the full term:
- Essential → Complete: $14.40 for the VIPRE-based antivirus on Windows and macOS. That is less than any standalone paid antivirus we are aware of, and the engine earned AV-Comparatives' Advanced+ award with a low false-alarm rate. The case against it is unchanged: Windows users already get comparable protection from Microsoft Defender for nothing, and the antivirus does not cover phones or tablets.
- Complete → Advanced: $12 for 1 TB of cloud storage, the Secure Browser, and the eSIM allowance rising from 3 GB to 5 GB. If you would actually use a terabyte of storage, that is cheap. If you would not, it is $12 for a browser feature most people will never open.
The eSIM data is new in IPVanish's pitch: Essential includes 3 GB and Advanced 5 GB of travel data. It is a nice extra for someone who flies a few times a year and does not want to hunt for a local SIM, but 3 GB is a couple of days of light use, not a trip. Do not pick a tier for it.

What the price does not change
Unlimited simultaneous connections remains the reason to pick IPVanish over providers that are a few cents cheaper. Most rivals cap you at five to ten devices; IPVanish does not cap you at all. At $52.56 for two years across every phone, laptop, TV and router in a household, the per-device cost is not comparable to anything else in this price band.
The jurisdiction is also unchanged. IPVanish is US-based and inside Five Eyes. Its no-logs policy has been independently audited, which is meaningful evidence, but no discount alters where the company answers subpoenas. If that is a dealbreaker for your threat model, it is a dealbreaker at $2.19.
The renewal rate is the figure to weigh most heavily on a two-year purchase. After the first term, Essential renews at $99.99 a year, roughly $8.33 a month, nearly four times the introductory rate. The 2-year plans also renew on a yearly cycle, not for another two years. Our guide to cancelling a VPN subscription covers setting a reminder before month 24.

Against the other early Black Friday deals
IPVanish is not alone in starting early. Surfshark opened on October 12 with Surfshark One at $2.49 a month on a 2-year plan, and Proton has announced its Black Friday pricing from October 26. The Kape brands are running shorter Halloween promotions, with CyberGhost at $1.99 and PIA at $1.89 until October 16.
On a straight price comparison IPVanish Essential at $2.19 sits above PIA and CyberGhost but below Surfshark One and ExpressVPN. Where it beats PIA, the other unlimited-device provider, is the longer discount window and the antivirus upsell path; where PIA beats it is 30 cents a month and an open-source client. Neither is a bad choice, and the difference across two years is $7.20.
Before you buy
- Confirm the cart total, not the monthly figure. You should see $52.56, $66.96 or $78.96, plus any applicable tax.
- Note the renewal price on the checkout page and set a reminder for month 23.
- Pick the tier on the devices you own. Complete and Advanced add value only on Windows and macOS. A household of phones and tablets wants Essential.
- Use the 30 days. Test the speeds and the devices you care about inside the refund window.
FAQ
When did IPVanish's Black Friday pricing start?
Thursday, October 15, 2026. IPVanish calls it Black Friday Early Access and has not announced an end date.
What do I actually pay?
$52.56 for Essential, $66.96 for Complete or $78.96 for Advanced, billed once for 24 months.
Is this IPVanish's cheapest price of 2026?
Yes. Essential was $2.49 in early September and $2.39 from September 23; $2.19 is the lowest it has been this year, and Complete and Advanced are at their lowest since the tiers launched.
What is the difference between the plans?
Essential is the VPN with Threat Protection and 3 GB of eSIM data. Complete adds antivirus for Windows and macOS. Advanced adds 1 TB of cloud storage, the Secure Browser and 5 GB of eSIM data.
Does the discount apply at renewal?
No. Renewal is yearly at $99.99, $109.99 or $129.99 depending on the tier.
How many devices can I connect?
Unlimited, on every plan.
Bottom line
$52.56 for two years of a VPN with unlimited devices and an audited no-logs policy is a good price, and $2.19 is genuinely IPVanish's floor for 2026. The more interesting change is that Complete and Advanced finally got cut too, which makes the antivirus tier a $14.40 question rather than a $16.80 one. Buy Essential for a household of phones, Complete if you would otherwise pay for an antivirus on a Windows or Mac machine, and check the renewal rate before you confirm whichever you choose.
