hide.me's Black Friday sale goes live on Monday, November 2, 2026, and with it the last of the major VPN Black Friday offers we have been tracking is on the table. The deal itself has not changed since hide.me announced it on October 18: 30 months for $/€/£ 2.33 a month, 69.99 up front, running until November 30 at 23:59 UTC. What has changed is the competition. PureVPN has since added a 5-year plan at $1.69, Proton's sale has started, and ExpressVPN's Halloween pricing ends the day after hide.me's begins. This is the comparison we would want before spending money on any of them.

hide.me from November 2: what to expect at checkout

Plan Per month Total Term
24 + 6 bonus months 2.33 69.99 30 months
12 + 4 bonus months 3.44 54.99 16 months
1 month 11.99 11.99 1 month
  • Prices are the same figure in USD, EUR and GBP.
  • No coupon code. The Black Friday prices replace the standard plans on hide.me's site for the whole month. If you see 24 months for 69.99 with no bonus months, the sale has not switched on yet or your page is cached; reload after November 2.
  • Price Guarantee: the plan renews at the same price and the same duration. 69.99 for 30 months, then 69.99 for another 30.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan.

Until Monday there is nothing to buy. hide.me's standard two-year plan is also 69.99, for 24 months, so paying now costs you the six bonus months.

Every VPN Black Friday 2026 deal so far

VPN Black Friday price Term Up front Renews at Window
PureVPN Standard $1.69 60 months $101.55 $1.69/mo (stated on order page) no end date given
IPVanish Essential $2.19 24 months $52.56 $99.99/year from Oct 15, no end date
hide.me Premium 2.33 (USD/EUR/GBP) 30 months 69.99 Same price, same term Nov 2–30
Surfshark One $2.49 24 months $59.76 "applicable renewal price" Oct 12 – Dec 1
Proton VPN Plus 75% off announced 24 months not yet confirmed $83.88/year (standard terms) Oct 26 – Nov 30
ExpressVPN Basic $2.99 28 months $71.76 list price Halloween deal ends Nov 3; Black Friday not announced

Two notes on the table. Surfshark's up-front figure is $2.49 × 24; its pricing page has shown 3 bonus months on 2-year plans, which would lower the effective rate, so check the cart. For Proton, the announced discount is 75% off VPN Plus on the 24-month plan, but at the time of writing Proton's public pricing page still showed us the standard 65% rate ($3.49 a month, $83.76 for two years). The Black Friday price may be served through the campaign link only; we will update when we can confirm the live figure.

The number that matters: what five years costs

Headline prices are first-term prices. Only two of the six deals tell you in writing what you pay afterwards, and that makes a 5-year comparison possible for three of them.

VPN First term Then 5-year total Per month over 5 years
PureVPN 5-year $101.55 for 60 months (term ends at 5 years) $101.55 $1.69
hide.me 30-month 69.99 for 30 months 69.99 for 30 more 139.98 2.33
IPVanish Essential $52.56 for 24 months $99.99 × 3 years $352.53 $5.88

hide.me's two 30-month terms add up to exactly 60 months, so the comparison with PureVPN is clean: PureVPN is $38 cheaper over five years, in exchange for paying all of it today. hide.me splits the same five years into two payments with a guaranteed second price and an exit at month 30. IPVanish, the cheapest of the three on the headline, is the most expensive by a wide margin once the renewals land, unless you cancel and rebuy, which is the strategy our guide to cancelling a VPN describes.

Surfshark, Proton and ExpressVPN all renew at their standard rates, which are higher than the promotional ones. We have not put a 5-year figure on them because the renewal prices are not stated as fixed numbers on the offer pages; the pattern is the same as IPVanish's, a cheap first term and a much dearer second.

Which one, for whom

  • Lowest total cost and you are sure: PureVPN's 5-year plan. $1.69 a month is the floor this season, and the renewal is stated at the same rate. The risk is the five-year lock; our PureVPN Black Friday article weighs it.
  • Low cost without a five-year bet: hide.me. 2.33 a month, a renewal you can predict, a 30-month exit, and the same price in euros and pounds. No bundled antivirus or password manager, which is fine if a VPN is what you want.
  • Unlimited devices for a household: IPVanish, with the cancel-before-renewal reminder set the day you buy. Surfshark also has no device cap and bundles antivirus for 30 cents more.
  • A security suite rather than a VPN: Surfshark One (antivirus, breach alerts, masked emails) at $2.49, or Proton if you also want encrypted mail and storage.
  • Already on ExpressVPN or want the biggest network: wait. The Halloween price ends November 3 and ExpressVPN has run a Black Friday campaign every year; the pattern suggests a new price within days.
